Project Management
Create, organize, and manage your measurement projects.
Creating a Project
- Click "New Project" from the Dashboard or Projects page
- Enter project details:
- Project name (required)
- Address (optional, helps with navigation)
- Notes (optional)
- Click "Create Project"
- Start measuring - you'll be taken directly to the map
Tip: If you enter an address, the map will automatically center on that location when you open the project.
Auto-Save
ProPaving automatically saves your work as you go:
- Changes save within 2 seconds of any edit
- Look for "Auto-saving..." indicator in the header
- Your map position (center and zoom) is also saved
- No manual save button needed
Project Properties
Edit project details in the Properties Panel (right sidebar):
Project Name
Click to edit. Use a descriptive name like "ABC Company - Main Lot".
Address
The project location. Click the copy button to copy to clipboard.
Notes
Add any project information: contact details, scope notes, special conditions.
Display Options
Toggle "Show Area Labels" to display square footage on the map.
Viewing All Projects
Access your projects from the Dashboard or Projects page:
- Grid View: Projects displayed as cards
- Each card shows: Name, address, last updated date
- Quick stats: Total square footage, linear feet, measurement count
- Click any project to open it in the map editor
Recent Projects
The Dashboard shows your most recently accessed projects for quick access. Projects are sorted by last modified date.
Use the search field to quickly find projects by name or address.
Deleting a Project
- Open the project you want to delete
- Click the menu icon (three dots) in the project header
- Select "Delete Project"
- Confirm the deletion
Warning: Project deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All measurements, annotations, and project data will be removed.
