ProPaving Auto-Measure
Outline your work area. ProPaving prepares pavement boundaries and cutouts while you keep working.
One AI control
Auto-measure is the AI measurement control on desktop and mobile web. Open a saved project and look for the sparkles icon labeled Auto-measure. On a phone, expand More tools to find it.
Auto-measure is available on subscribed web accounts during early access. Sign in and save a project to begin; an active subscription is required.
- Select Auto-measure.
- Click or tap the first corner of your work area.
- Select the opposite corner to lock the rectangle around the area you want measured.
- Tap the pavement inside the rectangle. This starts a saved background analysis.
Your outline defines the job scope. Keep neighboring lots and shared drives outside it when they are not part of the work. Select the Auto-measure control again or press Esc to cancel an outline before submitting it.
Leave the page and come back
The ProPaving panel shows queued, preparing imagery, analyzing, and completed states with elapsed time. Analyses take several minutes; there is no need to keep the tab open.
The updates bell links to your completed result. The analysis and its status remain attached to the project, including when you return through an older completion notice.
Completion notices are in-app. Select Cancel analysis to request that a running job stop. Work already submitted may take a moment to stop.
Review and save your measurement
Select Replay drawing to watch the completed boundary and exclusions being drawn from their actual geometry. Replay is a visual review aid and does not change saved measurements.
Select Review draft to see the boundary and cutouts on the map. Confirm that they match your intended work, including landscaped islands, building edges and access drives.
- Accept adds the draft as a measurement using the normal project save flow.
- Refine lets you drag vertices and adjust cutouts before accepting.
- Reject closes the preview without adding a measurement.
In the result preview, Enter accepts, R refines and Esc rejects. Background completion does not replace existing measurements.
Review the analysis notes and any edge warnings. ProPaving shows a review reminder instead of an uncalibrated confidence percentage.
Count parking stalls
Select one saved area, then choose Count stalls in the ProPaving panel. The count uses the area's boundary and cutouts and runs through the same background workflow.
Select Review count when it finishes. New results show a dot for each detected stall, an estimated total, marked accessible spaces, unknown accessibility, row counts and visibility notes. Check unclear markings, shadows and occupied spaces against the imagery.
Cyan dots are standard spaces, blue dots are marked accessible spaces, and amber dots need accessibility review. Choose the count category for each classification, then select Add reviewed markers. Unknown spaces remain unsaved unless you assign their category. You can move or reclassify saved markers with the point tool.
Older estimates may contain row counts only. These show no dots; run a new count to obtain individual locations.
Large areas, limits and retries
If an outline is too large, divide the site into sections. Give each accepted measurement a clear name and avoid overlapping areas so the totals are not counted twice.
If a draft misses an edge, use Refine or draw the missing portion with the Area tool. You can adjust islands with the cutout tools.
The ProPaving panel displays your company's daily pilot allowance. Each user can have two analyses running at once. The allowance resets at midnight UTC and includes failed or cancelled submissions.
A failed analysis shows a saved explanation and leaves your measurements unchanged. Check the selected area before trying again. Manual measuring remains available.
