Mobile Usage
Use ProPaving on phones and tablets with touch-optimized controls.
Touch Gestures
ProPaving uses standard touch gestures for map interaction:
Mobile Interface
On phones and tablets, the interface adapts for touch:
Bottom Toolbar
Drawing tools move to the bottom of the screen for easier thumb access. Buttons are larger for touch accuracy.
Swipe-Up Sheet
The Measurements Panel becomes a bottom sheet you can drag up to see your measurements and totals.
Larger Touch Targets
All buttons and interactive elements are sized for finger taps, not mouse clicks.
Collapsible Panels
Panels can be collapsed to maximize map space for drawing.
Drawing on Mobile
- Select a drawing tool from the bottom toolbar
- Tap to place points around the area or along the line
- Watch the point counter to see how many points you've placed
- Tap "Finish" when you're done (or tap the first point for polygons)
- Tap "Cancel" to discard and start over
Tip: Use two fingers to pan while drawing. Single-finger drags will place points if you're in drawing mode.

Use Address Search
Navigating by address is faster than panning across the map.
Rough Measurements First
Draw approximate shapes on mobile, then refine on desktop for precision.
Use Your Location
When on-site, tap "Locate Me" to center the map on your position instantly.
Collapse Panels
Minimize the measurement sheet while drawing to see more of the map.
